The Tight Bud
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
Anais Nin
This handwriting sample is a perfect example of the tight bud personality. It’s very closed and introverted.
For this person it would take a lot of courage to move out of the tight bud stage. Because it’s so much easier to remain safe within the closed bud.
But then the day comes when you feel compelled to face the world. Though it takes great strength and a great leap of faith to blossom, the thought of forever remaining in that closed space can no longer be tolerated.
And now there is no hiding. Because to blossom is to show yourself proudly to all the world in all your vulnerable and naked splendour.
For having blossomed there is no place of retreat – no turning back to the safety of the unfurled tight bud.
