Famous Geniuses with Bad Handwriting

Famous geniuses – their Bad Handwriting didn’t stop them

Surprisingly, there’s a large group of famous geniuses with bad handwriting. They come from all walks of life such as science, literature, art and much more.

For example, Napoleon was a military genius. His handwriting is to say the very least, unconventional and almost illegible.

On the other hand, his handwriting shows many daring formations and creative departures from the norm which support the contention that he was a pioneer in his field and that he blazed a trail where no- one had gone before him.

His huge confidence, zeal and enthusiasm are supported by a very keen mind. There is evidence of mental vigour as well as physical fearlessness in his handwriting.

Picasso was an artistic genius but as for his handwriting – we can only describe it as pretty bad!

A born rebel, he rejected every vestige of conventionality. He formed his letters as he wielded his paintbrush – with a confident type of independence.

Picasso’s imagination had free rein too; improvisation ruled, and reality was bent and contorted to his will.

His handwriting reflects this.

A Handwriting Quiz

Now here are 6 handwriting samples.  Although they are vastly different in appearance they all have one thing in common.

They are all examples of bad handwriting. But that is where the similarity ends. They are all vastly different showing very different personalities.

Four of these handwriting samples belong to famous geniuses. But one of them – in no particular order – belongs to the cult leader Charles Manson and another belongs to Jack the Ripper.

Can you tell which one is the handwriting of Napoleon and which one is Picasso’s handwriting?

Here are brief excerpts from the actual handwriting samples.

The second sample from the top appears to be that of Jack the Ripper. It has the characteristic smudgy writing of a potential killer. In addition there are lots of cover strokes, corrections, down strokes with clubs, inconsistent pressure, ink blots and many other markers of a person who is capable of brutal behavior. Interestingly, the writer is not stupid. They’re inquisitive, intelligent, tenacious and ambitious. Probably an educated man with a severe personality problem. Perhaps you would like to read my ebook, “Sinister Script, How Handwriting Exposes Evil”. You can find it on the web by simply typing in the title. All the best with your graphology presentations,
    Charles Richardson.
